Job summary

Parkview Estates in Kennewick, Washington, is seeking flexible caregiver positions (all shifts) to assist our senior residents with daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social activities, and meals. You will report to the wellness director and follow the resident service plan with a focus on compassion and safety.

Preferred candidates have six months of senior caregiving experience; training is provided for newcomers. Excellent English report-writing is required.

Qualifications

• Six months of senior caregiving experience preferred; training available for newcomers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe demeanor.
• Compose reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow the resident service plan including assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other ADLs.
• Communicate problems and concerns about resident apartments, buildings, and grounds to team members.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

As a caregiver, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social-recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks. You will report to the wellness director.

You Will:

• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and issues with resident apartments, buildings, and grounds with an appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You currently:

• Preferred candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving. If new to healthcare, we will train.
• Exude a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.
• Compose reports in English.
