Job summary

Regency on Whidbey is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as caregivers in a retirement, assisted living and memory care community. You will assist residents with daily living tasks and participate in activities that promote well-being.

We offer shift differential, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, life insurance and 401-K; training provided for those new to healthcare. Report to the wellness director.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in senior caregiving.
• Able to compose reports in English.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, medications, social activities, meals, and other tasks.
• Report problems and concerns about resident apartments, buildings, and grounds to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

Shift Differential Offered

As a caregiver, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social-recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks. You will report to the wellness director.

You Will

• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and issues with resident apartments, buildings, and grounds with an appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.

You Currently

• Preferred candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving. If new to healthcare, we will train.
