Job summary

Parkview Estates in Kennewick, WA is seeking a compassionate medication aide to assist our senior residents with daily well‑being, personal services, medication help, and social activities. You will report to the wellness director.

Typical candidates have six months of senior caregiving or med pass experience; CPR/BLS certification can be obtained; and reports are composed in English. Join our home‑like retirement and assisted living community.

Qualifications

• Typical candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass.
• CPR/BLS certification can be obtained.
• Compose reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs.
• Maintain medication records and comply with guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly.
• Store medications and keep the medication room clean and orderly.
• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You Will

• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs
• Maintain medication/treatment records, comply with regulatory, OSHA, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly
• Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly.
• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You Currently

• Typical candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass.
• Can obtain CPR/BLS certification
• Compose reports in English.
