Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is seeking caregivers to provide non-medical home care across Connecticut. Roles include companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and assisting with activities of daily living.

Flexible shifts, including weekends and overnights, are available, with competitive hourly pay and referral bonuses. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license with reliable vehicle, and be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid drivers license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle as part of the role.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence—offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
