Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is seeking caregivers to provide non-medical home care across Connecticut. You will follow each client’s Plan of Care, assist with daily tasks, and transport clients to appointments while offering genuine companionship.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check. Flexible shifts, ongoing training, and benefits are available to eligible caregivers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
• Open availability is preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care as needed.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You’ll Need
