Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is seeking caregivers to provide non-medical home care across Connecticut. Flexible shifts include weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in options.

You will follow each client’s Plan of Care, transport to activities, and assist with daily tasks while offering companionship and support. A valid driver’s license, background check, and open availability are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance with a reliable vehicle.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence with companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
