Job summary

Synergy HomeCare of Edwardsville is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our in-home, non-medical care team serving Madison County, IL communities including Edwardsville, Alton, Glen Carbon and surrounding towns. You will assist with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal preparation and companionship, while ensuring safety and well-being in clients' homes.

Training is provided, and we welcome both experienced caregivers and newcomers to the field.

Qualifications

• Must be compassionate, patient and reliable.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• No formal caregiving experience required – training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Provide light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Ensure client safety and well-being in the home environment.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff.

• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of clients in their home environment.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and Synergy HomeCare staff.

Qualifications:

• Compassionate, patient and positive demeanor.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to schedules and care plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Previous caregiving experience is a plus but not required – we offer training for the right candidates.
