Job summary

Companions & Homemakers, Inc. in Connecticut seeks compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care in clients’ homes. You will follow individualized care plans, assist with daily activities, and transport clients to appointments while ensuring safety and dignity.

Flexible shifts are available across weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in arrangements, with benefits including time off and training. A valid license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence - offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
