Job summary

Companions & Homemakers in Connecticut is hiring for flexible, non-medical home care positions across multiple service areas. Responsibilities include following each client's Plan of Care, providing companionship, transporting clients, and assisting with daily activities.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check; open availability is preferred and prior caregiver experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check required.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence—offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
