Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring to provide non-medical home care across Connecticut. Deliver companionship, transportation, light housekeeping, meal prep, and assistance with dressing, bathing, mobility, and routines per each client's Plan of Care.

We offer flexible scheduling (Weekdays, Weekends, Overnights, Live-In), competitive hourly pay, PTO, holiday pay, benefits, and referral bonuses. A valid driver’s license, background check clearance, and High School Diploma or GED are required, plus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
