Job summary

Companions & Homemakers in Connecticut seeks caring non-medical caregivers to support clients across multiple service areas. You’ll follow each client’s Plan of Care, provide companionship, transport to appointments, and assist with light housekeeping and meals.

Flexible weekday/weekend/overnight shifts and live-in opportunities are available. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required, as is a background check; prior caregiving experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver (HHA/CNA/PCA) is a plus.
• Open availability preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong interpersonal and companionship skills.
• Comfort transporting clients to appointments and activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands and groceries.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility and incontinence care as needed.
• Be a steady, caring presence and offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You'll Need
