Job summary

Precious Jewels Day Care is seeking a Childcare Assistant to provide on-site supervision and care for children, including infants and toddlers. You will work closely with the childcare lead, encourage participation in age-appropriate activities, and promote punctuality and safety in a warm, welcoming environment.

The role requires communicating with parents, assisting with activities, and providing ADLs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site child supervision for children.

• Maintain a safe, interactive environment for children aged 6 months and older.
• Establish and maintain communication with parents.
• Engage with and encourage children to participate in age-appropriate play.
• Assist with ADLs for infants and toddlers as needed.
• Foster a warm and welcoming childcare environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job description

This position requires direct assistance to the childcare lead.

The Childcare Assistant provides on-site child supervision for the children. Demonstrate and promote punctuality

Maintain a safe, interactive, clean environment for several children from various backgrounds, ages 6 months and older

Establish and maintain ongoing comrnunication with parents

Engage with and encourage children to participate in appropriate play

Actively participate in care and play with children

Administer assistance to children when needed

Foster a warm and welcoming childcare environment

Must be able to provide ADLs to infants and toddlers such as, pamper change or bathroom assistance and bottle or spoon feeding.

All other duties as assigned
