In this role, you will assist the Lead teachers with supervising the children playtime, reading time, mealtime, diaper change and care for infants and toddlers.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in his/her care.
- Speak, read, & write English fluently
- Sufficient mobility and strength to repeatedly sit, stand, balance, stoop, walk, bend, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl and have full range of body motion.
- Ability to work with cleaning/sanitizing chemicals and equipment.
- Must have above average attendance and punctuality and be dependable to work on a daily basis.
- Monitor children and ensure care and safety.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 6 completed units of early childhood education or currently enrolled. (within 6 months)
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED certificate.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Extended periods of time sitting or standing.
- Reliable transportation to the childcare center.
- Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with staff, teachers and parents.
