Job summary

Precious Jewels Day Care is seeking an energetic lead caregiver to supervise children from 6 weeks to 12 years, creating developmentally appropriate activities and a safe learning environment.

You will communicate progress to parents and collaborate with staff, staying compliant with state regulations while fostering strong relationships with families and children.

Qualifications

• Some college credits in child care development or a high school diploma.
• At least 1 year experience as childcare lead.
• Flexible in challenging situations.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with children and families.
• Must stay in compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and care to children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Plan developmentally appropriate activities and maintain a safe structured learning environment.
• Communicate with parents and fellow staff about progress and concerns.
• Collaborate with childcare assistants; take direction and work as a team.
• Ensure compliance with facility rules and state regulations.
• Assist with ADLs for infants and toddlers as needed; report issues to leadership.

Requires a gentle touch while instituting developmentally appropriate activities

Able to provide daily supervision and care to children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old.

Ability to handle the demands of infants and toddlers in different stages

Be highly organized with the ability to create a positive learning and play environment

Ensure a safe structured learning environment Empathetic to children's emotions and parent's needs. Plan daily activities that support the social, emotional, physical, & intellectual growth of each child Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff

Excellent writing skills and use of technology to deliver child progress to parents and other teachers. Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level Be creative, and passionate about your work, and have fun

Ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations are maintained by you and the Childcare assistant.

Report problems or concerns regarding daily operations to the Assistant Director and or director.

Must be able to take direction.

Must be able to work in collaboration with childcare assistants.

Must be able to provide ADLs to infants and toddlers such as, pamper change or bathroom assistance and bottle or spoon feeding.

All other duties as assigned

Educational Professional requirements-

• Some College Credits in child care development or a high school diploma. ( Required)
