Job summary

The Centers in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Workforce Development Instructor to lead workshops and tracks for job seekers in the El Barrio program. You will deliver instructor-led training, orient staff, and continually develop professional skills.

Travel to facilities and meetings, plus driving duties, are required as part of the role. You will create lesson plans aligned with workforce standards, schedule trainings, and maintain accurate attendance records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of workforce experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Adult Learning & Development, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years relevant exposure to or experience with instruction and delivery of adult learners.
• Must have demonstrated experience working with electronic platforms (e.g., Microsoft software, internet, databases, and virtual learning platforms).
• Requires travel to other facilities and meetings.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and able to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Flexible schedule to work outside normal business hours for program and job seeker needs and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops, career tracks, and certifications for enrolled job seekers.
• Provide staff orientation and ongoing professional development.
• Create lesson plans using El Barrio’s workforce competency standards.
• Support team development and performance improvement.
• Schedule and organize instructor-led trainings and enrollments.
• Maintain attendance and progress notes in the database.
• Coordinate with CRM administrator on outcomes and progress.
• Update and develop instructional materials and resources.
• Ensure coverage for all scheduled sessions.
• Teach skills like resume writing, time management, and job readiness.
