Job summary

The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department seeks a dedicated professional in Greenwood to support transition students through Pre-Employment Transition Services, helping them prepare for work experiences and successful job searches.

You will collaborate with counselors, coordinate with the Business Development Specialist to secure internships and other work-based learning, provide job coaching, and monitor progress toward employment goals while ensuring ongoing consumer support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; related experience acceptable with HS diploma.
• Experience in rehabilitation, counseling, or transition services preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and support students.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the counselors to assist with Pre-Employment Transition Services for transition students.
• Coordinating with the Business Development Specialist to secure work-based learning experiences (internships, job shadowing, etc.).
• Assisting in coaching and monitoring students participating in JRT services during the summer.
• Preparing consumers to have an effective job search with resources and networking.
• Providing direct job placement and follow-up for student consumers needing assistance.
• Supporting students requiring supported employment services (job coaching, job matching, on-the-job training).
• Providing ongoing transition support and monitoring progress in work performance.
