Job summary

Southwest Key Programs is seeking a Career Support Specialist in Brownsville, TX to register job seekers and assist in the resource room with employment needs. Responsibilities include assisting with WIT applications, reviewing them for completeness, guiding applicants to opportunities, and maintaining data in WIT.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years of administrative/clerical experience.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist job seekers in developing WorkInTexas (WIT) applications.
• Review WIT applications for completeness and quality; provide assistance.
• Refer and guide applicants to suitable employment; maintain data in WIT.
• Provide employment counseling for placement challenges.
• Interview clients and use assessment tools to explore career opportunities.
• Research and share labor market information.
• Assist with center orientations and provide center support.
