Job summary

Communitas in Wakefield, MA is seeking a Career Services Assistant Director to lead and develop our Career Services team, empowering individuals toward employment and community participation.

You will oversee operations, coordinate with staff and partners, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a compassionate, goal-driven work environment that supports growth for both clients and employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two+ years' experience with adults with developmental disabilities required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Career Services staff through hiring, supervision, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee daily Career Services operations, including scheduling, documentation, billing and staffing.
• Partner with individuals, staff, employers, and community organizations to create meaningful employment and community-based opportunities.
• Support individuals in ISPs, assessments, skill development, career planning, and community participation.
• Foster a person-centered environment encouraging ideas, choices, and skill building.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
