Job summary

Community Teamwork Inc is seeking a dedicated Career Coach to assist clients with job search, readiness skills, and referrals for training, helping individuals reach a living wage. The role emphasizes reducing barriers to employment and collaborating with Senior Financial Education staff.

You will provide case management, data collection, and partnerships with local agencies to support meaningful employment outcomes in the Lowell community. Emphasis on equity and compassionate service.

Qualifications

  • One year of experience in career coaching, workforce development, employment services, case management, or related field.
  • Experience serving low-income, unemployed, underemployed, or underserved populations.
  • Knowledge of local community resources for low-income households.
  • Skills in resume development, job searching, interview preparation, networking, and career planning.
  • Experience working with diverse, at-risk individuals and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular case management to clients.
  • Identify services to boost employability and career development.
  • Reduce barriers by offering resources, support, and referrals.
  • Support clients through job placement with wrap-around services.
  • Conduct intake and data collection per funding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate participant records and generate reports as needed.
  • Develop partnerships with local agencies and community resources.
  • Plan and deliver career development workshops and events.

Position Summary:

The Career Coach will be responsible for providing job search, job readiness skills and referrals for job training with a goal of helping individuals attain a living wage. The Career Coach will coach clients in ways to reduce barriers to maintaining employment, including working closely with the Senior Financial Education Staff.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management to clients on a regular basis;
  • Identify services needed for members’ personal, educational/or skill development to enhance employability.
  • Work to reduce employment barriers by providing resources, support and referrals.
  • Provide internal and external wrap around services to clients throughout job placement.
  • Perform intake and data collection as per all funding source requirements
  • Maintain accurate participant records and prepare reports as required
  • Assist in the development of partnerships with local agencies and other community resources
  • Work with team members on planning and implementation of career development workshops and events throughout the year
  • Work closely with Senior Financial Education staff to ensure clients attain financial stability and achieve financial goals.
  • Uphold the values of CTI - Equity, Integrity, Compassion.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in career coaching, workforce development, employment services, case management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with low-income, unemployed, underemployed, or otherwise underserved populations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community resources available to low -income households
  • Skills in resume development, job searching, interview preparation, networking, and career planning
  • Knowledge and experience working with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk individuals
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality of information
  • Strong ability to problem-solve and use crisis management skills
  • Public speaking and outreach
  • Ability to attend training on job related skills
  • Ability to travel to work sites
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be able to pass CORI and Federal background check
