Job summary

Community Workforce Solutions seeks a Special Education Vocational Facilitator/Instructor to work with high school students with disabilities in Rockingham County and Caswell County. You will deliver career-readiness and life-skills instruction, adapt materials, and support student progress as part of Pre-ETS.

You will travel between high schools, collaborate with staff, maintain documentation, and support students toward independence after high school.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Rehabilitation, or related field.
• Experience teaching, training, or working with students or individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage students with different learning needs.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel between school sites throughout Rockingham County and Caswell County.
• Ability to complete a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver career-readiness and life-skills instruction to students.
• Work with students individually and in small groups or classrooms.
• Prepare and adapt lesson materials and hands-on activities.
• Support student participation, skill development, and progress.
• Maintain program documentation and assist with reporting.
• Collaborate with school staff and Pre-ETS team members.
• Travel between assigned high schools in Rockingham and Caswell Counties.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Rehabilitation, or related field
