Job summary

Dynamic Works Institute seeks a Career Planner to connect job seekers with openings, guide plan development, and refer candidates to training and placement opportunities. You will interview clients, assess service needs, and coordinate with employers to secure suitable placements.

The role emphasizes case management, market awareness, and strong customer service, with an expectation of accurate documentation and ongoing liaison with service providers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social services, Human Resources, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in staffing, recruiting, or workforce development with at least one year's experience working with computer systems for data entry and data review required.
  • Previous workforce experience and/or case management experience is preferred.
  • Must possess demonstrated proficiency with verbal and written communication skills as well as demonstrated customer service skills and computer skills.

  • Provide career advisement through development of individual employment plans, referrals to jobs, placement in training/educations programs and job placement or advancement.
  • Implements prescribed program-related procedures and accurate case management.
  • Provides ongoing case management and serves as a liaison between customers and service providers.
  • Documents all customer interactions through well-written case notes.
  • Acquires and maintains knowledge of market research tools and industry/sector trends to guide job seekers to appropriate placement or education.
  • Ensures that case files meet or exceed programmatic requirements.
  • Provides valued and timely service to both job seekers and employers.
  • Utilizes Extreme Customer Service behaviors in all interactions with internal and external customers.

Job Title: Career Planner
Reports to Project Director
Position Classification: Non-exempt
Primary Objectives of Position

The Career Planner is responsible for providing employers with qualified candidates by developing local job seekers through planning, program services, and appropriate referrals.

Essential Job Functions

Other Job Duties

Qualifications
Education

Knowledge of employment and recruiting practices; ability to effectively assess customer employability skills and gaps; ability to understand and apply program policy; knowledge of business practices and industry sectors; ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment; strong familiarity with regulatory entities and their laws, policies, and guidance; ability to effectively read and interpret written procedures; ability to prepare routine reports; ability to enter data into computerized system; ability to maintain files in compliance with programmatic guidelines; skills in dealing with customers using Extreme Customer Service.

Additional Requirements

Must have valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage.
