Job summary

BRC is seeking a dedicated professional to collect data on client employment and retention, manage Horizons retention programming, and assist with outreach and intake for residents. You will collaborate with service providers and employers to help participants reach employment and educational goals, and facilitate workshops and career assessments.

CPR readiness is required for emergencies. The role requires strong communication, writing skills, and ability to work in a high-stress environment

Qualifications

• BA preferred and prior experience in addiction, mental illness or homelessness is required.
• Career counseling, vocational training, workshop development and facilitation experience preferred.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills required; computer proficiency essential; CPR training or willingness to take CPR course.

Responsibilities

• Collect data on client employment and retention for reporting, assessment and evaluation.
• Oversee and schedule Horizons retention programming, including monthly events and semi-annual celebrations.
• Assist in outreach and intake of facility residents into the Horizons program.
• Collaborate with service providers, employers and education/vocational programs to help participants achieve employment/education goals.
• Facilitate employment-related workshops as scheduled.
• Provide career assessment and employment preservation services to job seekers in the program.
• Coordinate with the treatment team to address independent living concerns and assist with housing placements and retention.
• Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
