Job summary

Rubicon Programs is seeking a Workforce Development Navigator to connect Contra Costa County residents with WIOA resources and living-wage, sector-focused jobs. The role enhances job readiness, conducts intake and enrollment, and collaborates with program staff to support assessments, career plans, and job placement.

The Navigator will liaise between Concord AJCC and Access Points, deliver services countywide, and may work evening events to reach diverse communities while maintaining flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services or workforce development is required.
• Ability to facilitate workshops for adult learners.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; teamwork and customer service.
• Knowledge of eligibility, intake, and enrollment processes for workforce programs.

Responsibilities

• Outreach and Recruitment: Promote employment and training services to community partners and residents; conduct informational workshops.
• Eligibility, Intake, and Enrollment: Determine eligibility and enroll participants in discretionary grants and projects; collect documentation.
• Workshop Facilitation: Deliver employment readiness workshops and eligibility sessions for participants.
• Service Coordination: Create monthly workshop schedules; manage scheduling and attendance; provide referrals to resolve barriers to employment.
• Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document data; timely entry into electronic systems; ensure privacy and data security.
