Job summary

South Suburban College seeks a College to Career Success Coach to work under the WEI Project Manager, delivering wraparound services to students in nursing, health, trades, and allied programs. This grant-funded role focuses on completion, placement, and career readiness, with regular reporting and collaboration across campus.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of experience, strong communication, and data interpretation skills. 20 hours per week, through Sept 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in supporting student completion and career placement.
• Strong interpersonal, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to collect, interpret, and report quantitative and qualitative data.
• Project management and database reporting experience.
• Experience working with diverse, underrepresented populations and college‑aged/returning adults.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of ~150 students to achieve certificate completion within 12 months and job placement.
• Support College to Career Success Center operations and grant goals.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and development in the SES division.
• Document eligibility screening, intake, planning, and placement per grant processes.
• Develop academic, career, and intervention plans for participants.
• Assist with resumes, cover letters, professional documents, and social branding.
• Support job search, job fairs, and transition events; maintain participant records.
