Job summary

Center For Family Services is seeking a full-time workforce development professional in Salem, NJ, to create successful career pathways for individuals facing income disruption. The CMCC assists with job readiness, resume development, interview prep, time management, financial literacy, and computer instruction.

It includes assessment of barriers and individual and group counseling to prepare participants for today’s job market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in vocational counseling or social work or commensurate experience.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience managing a large participant caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; English/Spanish a plus.
• Driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Complete program enrollment eligibility assessments.
• Evaluate individuals' background, skills, and interests to match openings.
• Coordinate career counseling, goal development, training, and resume development.
• Develop relationships with employers to source opportunities.
• Provide follow-up services to monitor progress.
• Create and deliver job readiness workshops.
• Support participants with job search and interview preparation.
• Maintain documentation in data systems.
