Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona seeks a dedicated College & Career Readiness Advisor to develop industry-driven career pathways and support Excel Center students toward graduation and postsecondary success.

You will collaborate with colleges, employers, and advisors to create internships, dual-credit opportunities, and credential attainment while guiding students through admission, financial aid, and career planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; Master’s preferred.
• At least 3 years in a secondary or higher education setting or career counseling.
• Knowledge of career/vocational theories and program development.
• Experience with career pathway development desirable.
• Strong Excel data analysis and reporting.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with AZ at work.

Responsibilities

• Leads the school culture toward development and design of career pathways for industry-driven programs.
• Develops partnerships with college admissions counselors to create open lines of communication.
• Coordinates student use of and activities related to career assessment instruments.
• Provides one-on-one guidance to students on college search, applications and transition.
• Plans and conducts graduate seminars to prepare students for graduation and postsecondary endeavors.
• Supports students in certification and dual-credit classes they attend.
