Job summary

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Ability to understand instruction without constant supervision is essential.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with people from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to provide direction in developing the best and quickest route to self-sufficiency.
• Register customers in WorkinTexas (WIT) and provide information on Workforce services.
• Refer customers to jobs based upon their experience and skill.
• May contact employers to assist with hiring needs and may enter job orders into WIT.
• May send out job notifications to customers and provide basic unemployment information.
• Facilitate RESEA Orientation and ensure RESEA customers' applications are entered into WIT.
• Ensure all required services are entered in WIT for all customers.
• Assist customers in the resource room with WIT applications, resumes and job searches.
• Facilitate workshops.

Education
