Trinity Rail is hiring a 2nd shift Career Material Handler at our Jonesboro plant.

The 2nd shift Career Material Handler position offers a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who embraces challenges. As part of the materials and distribution team at Trinity, you will perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, storing, and shipping raw materials and finished goods. You will operate mobile equipment such as heavy machinery, forklifts, cranes, yard vehicles, and lift trucks to move materials between warehouse and manufacturing facilities. You may also utilize computer software to identify materials, ensure purchase order accuracy, and maintain inventory.

Qualifications

What you’ll do:

1. Expedite the movement of parts and materials between warehouse and production areas by lifting or otherwise moving raw materials and/or parts.
2. Prepare and coordinate schedules for pulling and delivering materials to control the flow of goods and optimize production floor space.
3. Safely operate equipment required to move materials along the production floor.
4. Assist with activities related to shipping of materials or finished goods.
5. Stage and maintain storage of finished goods for shipping schedules.
6. Ensure security and accountability of materials.
7. Load packaged goods according to documentation and bills of lading.
8. Comply with all safety rules and procedures.
9. Operate all lift trucks to transport materials.
10. Learn and maintain knowledge of parts and materials required in production.
11. Pull and deliver (unload and load) materials as requested.
12. Understand basic shipping documentation and procedures.
