Qualifications

• Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
• One year of experience in reviewing, monitoring, determining eligibility for, and, or, administering employment service or unemployment insurance programs, or related fields.
• A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
• Work experience in workforce programs such as WIOA, employment services, and, or, unemployment insurance programs or related fields may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Assists job seekers in need of services, makes referrals, monitors progress, and performs case management and follow-up services.
• Develops employability plans based on vocational aptitudes, interests, and work experience.
• Works with employers to promote employment services and solicit job opportunities.
• Provides assistance to employers with developing job orders and making referrals.
• Keeps a daily log of services.
• Promotes employment services through interactions with other public, private, and state agencies via job fairs and ads.
• Works in the resource room assisting customers with unemployment insurance claims; addresses questions and concerns in person and by phone.
• Conducts workshops for job seekers to help develop job search techniques, resume writing, and interview skills.
