Job summary

America Works of New York, Inc. is seeking a Career Ambassador in Far Rockaway, NY to provide outreach and administrative support for an employment services program assisting low-income job seekers. The role emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and proactive engagement.

Responsibilities include managing Outlook, SharePoint, Salesforce, and coordinating outreach calls; conducting presentations; and maintaining case notes and weekly reports. A 4-year degree and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-year degree; graduating seniors encouraged to apply.
• Experience with administrative and/or office tasks.
• Ability to conduct outreach via calls, events, tabling, etc.
• Familiarity with workforce development or social services a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint a plus.
• Experience serving disadvantaged and underserved populations.
• Strong communication, professional demeanor, sound judgment, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative tasks using various systems (MS Outlook, SharePoint, Salesforce).
• Conduct outreach calls to program participants and answer questions.
• Scan and upload documents to client case files.
• Manage multi-line phone system and forward calls as needed.
• Facilitate presentations in-person and virtually via Teams.
• Assist with mass mailings to clients.
• Maintain detailed case notes, attendance logs, and weekly reports.
