Job summary

Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College is seeking a Coordinator of Career Development to help students explore career pathways, build workforce-ready skills, connect with employers, and gain real-world experience.

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management and Student Services, the Coordinator provides leadership for a college-wide Career Development Model and collaborates with Student Services, Academic Affairs, Workforce Solutions, and external partners to prepare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3 years of leadership experience in career services or related field.
• Experience building partnerships with employers and institutions.
• Experience using data to guide program improvement and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead college-wide career development strategy and integrate it as a student success initiative.
• Design and oversee programs for career exploration, planning, and readiness; coordinate assessments and labor market resources; encourage Handshake usage.
• Expand internships, apprenticeships, clinical experiences, and other work-based learning; embed career readiness in curricula.
• Create employer engagement strategies and act as liaison for career development initiatives.
• Establish KPIs and prepare reports; assess programs and outcomes to ensure accountability.
