Volunteers of America Mid-States seeks a Career Coach for the JPMC Work Reintegration Program. You will manage participant journeys from outreach through enrollment and into individualized career planning, training, placement, and advancement.

You will foster employer partnerships and coordinate supportive services while maintaining case records and ensuring program performance. The role emphasizes client-centered coaching, readiness training, and collaboration with VOA leadership and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field experience may be considered.
• Experience in workforce development, career coaching, case management, employment services, vocational rehabilitation, recovery support, or related human services preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals facing barriers to employment, including justice involvement, recovery, housing instability, and unemployment, preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, employer engagement, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic case management systems; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct community outreach and build a pipeline of eligible program participants.
• Receive and process referrals; complete intake, eligibility review, assessments, enrollment, and required consent and referral documentation.
• Explain program expectations, available services, participant responsibilities, and follow-up requirements.
• Develop, monitor, and revise individualized service and employment plans with measurable goals.
