Volunteers of America Mid-States is hiring a Career Coach in Corbin, KY. The role focuses on driving workforce development, guiding participants through career planning, readiness, job placement, and advancement within VOA programs.

The Career Coach collaborates with employers, partners, and internal staff to deliver services that promote sustainable employment and self-sufficiency while ensuring grant compliance and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Minimum one year in workforce development, employment services, or related field.
• Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and recruitment to enroll eligible participants.
• Develop individualized employment plans aligned with participant goals.
• Provide career coaching, counseling, and workforce readiness training.
• Assist with job search strategies, resumes, interviews, and applications.
• Coordinate services and community resources to remove barriers to employment.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers and community partners to identify opportunities.
• Coordinate participant interviews, placements, and follow-up activities.
• Monitor progress and update service plans; complete case notes and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies.
• Represent VOA professionally to employers, partners, and stakeholders.
