Job summary

Advocates for Life Skills & Opportunity (ALSO) in Beaverton/Hillsboro seeks an Employment Specialist to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to find meaningful work and community connections. You’ll assess individual goals, build relationships with local employers, and support job training on-site at various community settings.

The role requires patience, a high school diploma, and the ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Vocational Rehabilitation contracts is helpful but not required.
• Familiarity with community employment supports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in achieving employment goals and securing paid work.
• Build relationships with local employers to identify opportunities.
• Coordinate assessments, job exploration, and supported employment services.
• Provide on-site job coaching and support as needed.
• Monitor progress and maintain required documentation.
