Job summary

Opportunity Foundation of Central Oregon is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide vocational support and supervision for adults with developmental disabilities, ensuring their employment goals are met in the community.

You will collaborate with employers and support teams to train and monitor performance, develop natural supports in the workplace, and coordinate with families and residential staff to promote employment success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or related field preferred.
• Employment Outcomes Professional certificate is a target.
• Experience with adults with disabilities or in employment rehabilitation preferred.
• Flexible work schedule possible (weekends/evenings).
• Confidentiality is a priority in this position.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• 12 hours of job-related in-service training annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide vocational support and supervision for adults with developmental disabilities.
• Develop leads and secure employment opportunities matching individuals and employers.
• Train employers and individuals on communication and natural workplace supports.
• Coordinate with residential supports, families and other team members.
• Record billable hours and maintain documentation.
• Develop and implement productive weekly schedules for caseload.
