Job summary

Washoe County School District’s Career Center seeks a dedicated Career Center Facilitator to plan and coordinate career activities under the principal and counseling/CTE collaboration. You will administer programs, organize career-related events, and publicize opportunities for students and staff.

You will liaise with post-secondary institutions, the military, businesses, and community agencies, and deliver sequential career development activities, assessments, and field trips.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college experience desirable; Career Development Facilitator Certification desirable.
• Experience: Six months related work experience that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Knowledge of computers and career delivery systems; budgeting and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, coordinates, and oversees career-related projects and programs.
• Organizes career delivery activities and partnerships with counseling and faculty.
• Serves as a liaison to post-secondary institutions, military, business, and community agencies.
• Maintains career folders and disseminates career, scholarship, and financial aid information.
• Coordinates career assessments and work-based learning experiences.
