Job summary

Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) seeks a Coordinator of Career Development Services to lead comprehensive career services for students and alumni and to strengthen connections with regional employers and workforce partners.

As a primary resource for career readiness, the coordinator will develop experiential learning opportunities, coordinate events, support credential attainment, and promote career services across MGCC locations while collaborating with Academic Affairs, Workforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, higher education, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of career development, workforce preparation, and student development.
• Current career coach certification or willingness to obtain within timeframe.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead career services: coaching, workshops, fairs, mock interviews, and resume help.
• Build regional employer partnerships for internships, externships, and roles.
• Coordinate experiential learning with faculty and employers.
• Support credential attainment and address barriers to completion.
• Promote career services across MGCC locations and with alumni.
• Manage career resources, digital job board, and technology platforms.
• Collect data and prepare assessment reports for programs.
• Collaborate across departments to improve student outcomes.
• Represent MGCC at external events and employer engagements.
• Provide leadership for career development as the college-wide resource.
