Job summary

Harlandale Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas is seeking an Instructional Career Center Assistant at McCollum High School. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, a Texas educational aide certificate, and some college credit.

Qualifications

Associate degree or two years of college experience preferred.
Texas educational aide certificate required.
Ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
Strong communication and computer skills.
Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, staff and parents about Career Center information.
Assist counselors with ordering, implementing and upgrading hardware, software, and resource materials.
Promote use and growth of the Career Center.
Train teachers and students to effectively use Career Center resources.
Plan summer training sessions for students and parents.
Identify materials that support AEIS indicators when purchasing materials.
Maintain a neat and orderly facility and manage inventory.
