Qualifications

• Ability to assist with special needs students and manage classrooms.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer usage are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in daily classroom operations and create a supportive learning environment.
• Assist with behavior management and medical needs of students.
• Supervise students throughout the workday.
• Assist with feeding students and supporting hygiene needs.
• Support with special toileting needs as required.
• Monitor students moving to/from buses, cafeterias, and classrooms.
• Sanitize room and equipment after activities.
• Assist in planning and preparing instructional materials.
• Work with small groups to reinforce material under supervision.
• Adhere to McAllen ISD customer service standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
