Job summary

Ascension Living is seeking a dedicated Social Worker for the Washington, DC area in the Carroll Manor facility. The role focuses on guiding the Social Services department, coordinating patient care with staff and physicians, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.

You will oversee performance management, scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and budgets while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• License / Certifications / Registration: Social Worker required prior to hire or Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice required prior to hire.
• Education requirements: HS diploma equivalency with 3 years experience OR Associate's/Bachelor's with 2 years experience OR 7 years of applicable experience; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Assess quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
• Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management; schedule, recruit, and process payroll.
• Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts and vendor relations.
