Job summary

CoxHealth Branson is seeking a Flex Nurse to join the 1387 Nursing Float Pool Branson. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, administering medications and documenting in line with standards of practice.

Flex Nurses are assigned throughout the Branson Hospital with varying schedules and unit assignments, supporting patient care across units. A nursing program graduate is required; BSN preferred and BLS/ACLS within 90 days, PALS within a year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, evaluate and implement patient care per standards and policy.
• Administer medications and treatments and document accordingly.
• Provide education to patients and families.
• Flex Nurses are assigned across Branson Hospital with varying schedules and unit assignments.

0 Hours: 6:30pm-7:00am Work Shift: Night Shift (United States of America)

Job Description:

Flex nurse duties include assessing, planning, evaluating and implementing patient care in accordance with accepted standards of practice and organizational policy, administering medications and treatments, performing documentation and providing education to patients and families.

Flex Nurses are assigned throughout the Branson Hospital and have varying schedules and unit assignments.

The Flex Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience:

• Required: one (1) year critical care or emergency room experience OR two (2) years medical/surgical experience

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri
• Required: BLS and ACLS must be obtained within 90 days
• Required: Must obtain PALS within one year of hire
