Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is hiring Certified Nurse Assistant or Nurse Assistant. The role involves providing basic patient care under nursing staff direction, taking vitals, assisting with daily activities, and reporting changes to clinicians. Work is in a 36-hour weekly schedule on day shift, with hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3 months as nursing assistant in inpatient/long-term care, EMT, or surgical technologist.
• Alternative: completed UAP program or fundamentals of nursing with clinical.
• Licensure: Missouri CNA license; MO CNA appendix; must be obtained within 120 days.

Responsibilities

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens and other duties as assigned. Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition.

Education Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
