Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Care Partner to support nursing staff and enhance the patient experience in a hospital setting. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic care under the direction of RNs and the healthcare team.

You will contribute to a compassionate, safe, and efficient care environment, participate in patient rounding, and help maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hospital experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS/CPR certification required upon hire.
• Certificate program for Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive patient experience by partnering with the healthcare team and family.
• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures under RN supervision.
• Follow the plan of care and report changes to the licensed professional.
• Document patient care in the EMR and communicate with the team.
• Respond to call lights and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist with patient admissions and transfers as needed.
• Maintain unit supplies and transport supplies and medications as assigned.
