Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Nursing Assistant - Care Partner for the Neuro Acute Care unit on a full-time day shift.

The Care Partner supports the nurse and healthcare team by assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, and comfort measures while promoting a positive patient experience. Under RN supervision, you will provide patient care, document appropriately in the EMR, and assist in patient admissions.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed directions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication, specifically ability to document.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Wellstar minimum age of hire is 16.

Responsibilities

• Excellence in patient experience by partnering with health care team, patient and family.
• Provides patient care needs (e.g. hygiene, nutrition, elimination, physical comfort) under RN direction.
• Transports unit supplies, patient care supplies, medications and equipment as assigned.
• Assists in direct patient admission and coordinates with RN for plan of care.
• Performs environment of care rounds and ensures safety and infection control practices.
