Job summary

Callahan Village in Roseburg, OR is hiring for Full-Time Day and Evening Care Partners to support elders with daily living activities, health monitoring, companionship, and mobility assistance.

You will engage in social activities, assist with meals, and help keep environments clean while communicating with residents and families. English proficiency and background check are required; licensing docs may be needed by the state.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Licensing documentation (if required by state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist elders with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Observe, document, and report changes in health or behavior to Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals and feeding where needed.
• Support social and recreational activities for resident well‑being.
• Communicate with residents, families, and other team members.
• Light housekeeping to maintain general cleanliness.

What You’ll do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder’s health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well‑being.
• You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.
