Job summary

Timberwood invites applications for Care Partner roles at our Albany, OR location. Responsibilities include assisting elders with daily living activities, health monitoring, documentation, and providing emotional support and companionship.

You will also assist with meals, engage residents in activities, and help with light housekeeping as needed. We welcome a team-oriented mindset, strong English communication, and the ability to obtain licensing documentation and pass background checks.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
  • Good verbal communication and ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to elders (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
  • Monitor health, document changes, and report to Wellness Team.

What You’ll do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

  • You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
  • You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder’s health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
  • You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
  • You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
  • You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
  • You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
  • You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.

  • You will bring licensing documentation (if required by your state) and be able to pass a criminal background check.
