Job summary

Garden Place Red Bud is seeking a Care Partner for day shift weekend option, offering 12-hour shifts from 6am to 6pm. You will provide personal care, emotional support, and assist with meals while engaging residents in meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication; able to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers.
• Licensing documentation (if required by state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.
• Great work ethic with attendance being a high priority.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist elders with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals and beverages for residents.
• Support social and recreational activities for well-being.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team members in a positive manner.
• Keep areas clean; light housekeeping and dining room cleanup after meals.

THIS IS A DAY SHIFT WEEKEND OPTION CARE PARTNER POSITION,

What You'll do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• You will assist with Meals: help elders with meal delivery and beverages.
• You will makesocial and recreational activities FUN: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests in a positive manner.
• You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as cleaning dining room after mealsand ensuring general cleanliness.
