Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking a full-time Care Manager for the Neuromodulation Division. The role supports clinical care, research, and education focusing on Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and related neuromodulation therapies.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient intake, assessments, and treatment plans; communicating treatment protocols and informed consent; and supporting study activities with a multidisciplinary team. This position is 100% on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, clinical research, patient access, care coordination, or related clinical environment
• Experience working directly with patients in a clinical or research setting
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with electronic health records, databases, and clinical documentation systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Health Sciences, Public Health or related fields
• Experience with insurance authorization, healthcare benefits verification, and billing processes
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, neurology, or related specialties

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient intake, screening, recruitment, and evaluation activities
• Conduct structured clinical interviews and psychological, neuropsychological, and functional assessments
• Explain treatment protocols, research procedures, and informed consent documentation to patients and families
• Manage an assigned caseload throughout evaluation, treatment, and follow-up
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, researchers, and clinical staff to support patient care and study activities
• Coordinate insurance verification, benefit review, prior authorizations, and treatment extensions as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical and research documentation within electronic medical records and study databases
• Monitor patient progress and identify barriers to care while facilitating appropriate follow-up and support services
• Prepare reports, maintain records, and assist with operational and research-related projects
