What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the intake of members or admission/discharge information post-notification
- Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, facilities, and clinical teams to manage service requests
- Process incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations
- Provide triage and care coordination for non-clinical assessment/intervention cases
- Address resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers in a high-volume customer service environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of healthcare customer service experience
- Experience working with Cerner (Electronic Medical Records) and medical terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the healthcare industry and with healthcare insurance
- Background in clerical or administrative support
- Experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid Services
- Call center experience
