Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator at Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Surrey to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff. You will oversee building upkeep, respond to maintenance concerns, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and fire systems.

Ideal candidates will have solid knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, plus the ability to make sound decisions in residents' best interests.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Understanding of safety and fire safety systems.
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in residents' best interest.

Responsibilities

• Resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly with knowledge of building systems and regulatory requirements.
• Engaging with approved contractors and sourcing suppliers as needed.
• Covering emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems.
• Where applicable, the Maintenance Coordinator will have direct line management of the Maintenance Assistant, including day-to-day supervision, objective setting and annual reviews.
